As Managing Director and Owner of the firm, Clive brings more than 25 years of senior leadership experience in professional practice and client-focused businesses.

Beginning his career in the insurance industry, he has worked in private practice since 1997, holding a variety of senior management positions and developing a strong reputation for delivering high standards of professional service.

Under his leadership, the firm has grown consistently year after year, built on long-term client relationships, trusted advice, and a service culture that focuses on what clients genuinely value. He believes that outstanding professional expertise should be matched by measurable service standards, ensuring clients receive the responsiveness, communication, and reliability they rightly expect.

Away from the office, Clive is a keen sports enthusiast. He enjoys skiing whenever the opportunity arises and is a loyal supporter of his local football club, Charlton Athletic.

His passion for continuous improvement, both in professional standards and client experience, remains at the heart of the firm’s success and future growth.

Mira Patel

Director and Compliance Officer for Legal Practice

Mira qualified as a solicitor in 1998 and has built a career specialising in catastrophic personal injury and clinical negligence law. With over 25 years of experience representing clients in complex claims, Mira combines deep technical legal expertise with a longstanding commitment to the highest professional standards.

As Compliance Officer for Legal Practice at Alpine Law Ltd, Mira oversees the firm’s regulatory compliance framework, ensuring that Alpine Law continues to meet and exceed the standards expected by the Solicitors’ Regulation Authority and the wider legal profession. This role draws on Mira’s extensive experience in private practice, to inform robust risk management, quality assurance, and governance practices across the firm.

Mira’s combination of specialist legal knowledge and compliance leadership ensures that our clients receive both expert representation and the assurance of working with a firm built on integrity, transparency, and professional excellence.

Outside the office, Mira enjoys watching test cricket and spending time with her family.

Mark Zukas FCILEX

Senior Litigator

Having attained his Law Degree from University of West England, Bristol, in 2005, Mark, then studied for a Masters Degree from University College London, in 2006. He spent the next ten years working in the field, including writing legal essays, running Consumer Credit claims, and reclaiming mis-sold PPI from recalcitrant lenders.

He formally qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in September 2016 at which time he was litigating LVI/Fraud personal injury claims, for a large and high volume litigation law firm.

In 2018, Mark joined a high street firm where he continued to work as a litigation lawyer. He gained varied experience through handling a broad range of legal matters, including beneficiaries’ Family Home disputes, Employment Law Tribunal, and Construction matters.

Having joined Alpine Law in April 2021, Mark specialises primarily in acting for Tenants in Housing Conditions cases. He also litigates Personal Injury claims. Mark particularly enjoys the part he plays in improving the lives of his social housing tenant clients, who are he says ‘ routinely discarded and left living in squalid conditions’.

Most recently, in March 2026, Mark gained his CILEX Litigator qualification.

In his free time, Mark enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to music, travel (both within England and further afield) and playing and watching football.

Wajad Hussain

Solicitor

Wajad is a Housing Disrepair Solicitor with a legal career which commenced in 2021. During his career, he has gained experience across various areas of litigation, including credit hire, PPI and personal injury, before specialising in housing disrepair.

For almost three years, he has focused exclusively on housing disrepair claims, helping tenants pursue compensation and seek appropriate remedies for issues affecting their homes. He has assisted many clients in achieving successful outcomes and takes great pride in providing a professional, supportive and client-focused service.

Wajad finds the most rewarding aspects of his work is the opportunity to make a genuine difference to people’s lives. He understands the importance of having a safe and suitable home, and takes great satisfaction in helping clients address housing issues and obtain the compensation they deserve. He is committed to continuing to provide a high standard of service and achieving the best possible outcomes for his clients.

Outside of work, he enjoys playing and following football, regularly attending the gym, and supporting his football club, Manchester United.

Richard Lawrence

Consultant

Richard is a seasoned Housing Breach Litigation and Legal Costs Consultant with a wealth of experience in the legal industry, particularly in general litigation since transitioning from the insurance sector to private practice in 1995.

Over the years, Richard has held senior management roles in private practice and has more recently developed extensive expertise in housing disrepair cases and breached housing agreements.  Additionally, with a strong background in legal costs drafting and negotiations, Richard excels in bill drafting, preparation of Points of Dispute (PODS), and crafting Replies to PODS, ensuring efficient and effective resolution of disputes. This experience has honed Richard’s ability to cut to the chase in negotiations, facilitating timely settlements.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Richard has always been a sportsman, enjoying activities such as Lawn Green Bowling and lower league football, which reflect his commitment to teamwork and strategy both on and off the field.

Paige Rowley

Paralegal

Paige has worked with Alpine Law since April 2018. Prior to this, she spent two years studying a Legal Secretary course at Orpington College. Since joining the Firm, she has dealt with personal injury including clinical negligence, and housing disrepair claims. She manages her own pre-litigation caseload as well as assisting qualified staff with their cases.

Outside of work, Paige is an avid reader and can often be found with her Kindle glued to her hand and enjoys travelling.

Her personal mission is to make a positive difference to our clients lives by helping guide them through their claim with understanding, empathy, and ensuring they feel heard and supported.

Stephanie Skinner

Paralegal

Stephanie is an experienced Paralegal with a strong background in legal administration, having initially completed a Legal Secretary course achieving a Merit qualification.

In her current role, she provides day-to-day support to the firm’s qualified staff, assisting with a variety of legal and administrative tasks while also managing her own pre-litigation caseload.
